Chelsea Handler was supposed to appear on the boozin##Q## fourth hour of Today on Monday with Kathie Lee and Hoda.
You would think the booze alone would definitely make Chelsea show up- but the star didn##Q##t. Handler##Q##s reps contacted Today and bailed last minute claiming that Chelsea was sick.
But oddly, Handler was healthy enough to appear on Jimmy Fallon later the same night!
Handler said:
“I wasn##Q##t drunk or anything . . . I literally walked into a shower door this morning. I hit my eye and so everything##Q##s puffy. I couldn##Q##t go with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kota-ba, or whatever her name is.”
When Jimmy Fallon corrected Chelsea##Q##s pronunciation of “Kotb”- Chelsea Handler said:
“That##Q##s good to know. I never thought about it. I just thought, why are there two vowels like that so closely together?”
But Hoda and Kathie Lee were not happy about this- and Hoda was especially irate about Handler making fun of her last name.
“Consonants! Two consonants!” Hoda said.. “Wait — just so we##Q##re clear — she wasn##Q##t sick and her eye didn##Q##t look puffy.”
We would think alcoholic birds of a feather would flock together but not for these ladies!
