Tamar Braxton talks giving birth on TV and new music!
Tamar Braxton is undoubtedly the most memorable, outspoken Braxton sister! Our PopStop TV News caught up with her at the Santa Monica Pier during her recent video shoot for her new single “The One”.
Everything about the song and the video scream ’90s! ”Well, the concept is a throwback vibe,” Tamar told us exclusively. “It’s about going to the amusement park with your girlfriend or your boyfriend back in the day when you was in high school and it was all about having fun and winning stuffed animals and spending time together. The song has a throwback vibe so we thought we’d marry the two with the video.”
Tamar’s new album Love & War is set to be released this summer on Epic records.
“This is the first time I can really call an album mine,” Tamar said. This is the first time Tamar is releasing a full-length album since the release of Tamar in 2000. When comparing the two albums, the sexy mama-to-be promises Tamartians that this time, the tracks are 100% Tamar. “I’m recording music, writing music that I want to sing, I want to write about and you know before that wasn’t the case- so you know I’m in a real blessed position.”
In addition to her new album, Tamar is also expecting her first child with music producer hubby Vince Herbert!
“My baby already loves music,” Tamar said. “You know, ratchet music in particular.”
“I never thought I’d have this much energy pregnant,” Tamar admitted. “Girl, I can pop lock and drop it right now! I’m gonna need some help getting back up though!”
And would Tamar be opposed to having TV cameras follow her into the delivery room when she gives birth?
“It’s not really me that’s holding everybody back,” Tamar said. ”It’s My husband-ger Vince, he’s a little bit more reserved than I am. I think we’ll [the cameras] get all the way till my purse is opening. I still want him to look at me exactly the same way as he did before. But I don’t wanna see nobody else purse opening either so I get it.”
Is she worried about losing the baby weight?
“Yes, God! I worry about it everyday and I haven’t had the baby yet,” Tamar exclaimed. “How am I gonna put these Krispy Kremes down?”
