Jessica Sanchez talks new album, ‘Glee’ season finale!
PopStop TV caught up with American Idol season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez at the NARM Music Biz 2013 dinner party to talk about her just-released album and appearance on Glee!
Jessica sang not one but two songs in the finale! So how was her experience?
“Oh my gosh so much fun,” Jessica said. “I brought along ‘Unique’ from the show too [to the dinner party].”
Jessica’s new album Me, You and the Music was just released, as well.
“I was stoked,” Jessica said of the album release. “I was, like, relieved that it came out. Because I’ve been waiting this whole year to release it. Everybody loves it, everybody is a little shocked. It’s more upbeat poppy-dancy Jessica.”
One thing that made Jessica really nervous, however, was performing in front of her idol Mariah Carey during an American Idol results show earlier this year.
“I didn’t even wanna look at her. I was like don’t look at me,” Jessica said of Mariah. ” I just performed and looked at everybody waving their glowsticks everywhere and just tried to ignore her for that moment.”
Jessica’s first single is called “Tonight” and is featuring Ne-Yo- so would Jessica like to see Ne-Yo on American Idol as a judge?
“I’d love to see that,” Jess said of Ne-Yo. ”He’s amazing and so talented and he really knows what he’s talking about.”
