Fantasia Barrino hasn##Q##t released a new album in over two years, but around March hopefully that will change!
The American Idol winner told reporters on the red carpet at BET##Q##s Soul Train Awards that she is ready to release new music and that she is going in a new direction this time instead of the more traditional R&B sounds of her first three albums.
Fantasia explained:
“Well March I will be coming out with an album. Hopefully it will be around March. I don##Q##t want to rush it. I am doing something different. I am calling it ##Q##Rock Soul.##Q##”
Fantasia explains that she loves all types of music and cites Queen, Aerosmith and Elton John as influences for her new sound- along with Ella Fitzgerald.
The singer says she doesn##Q##t “want to be boxed in anymore in just one type of music.”
Tasia even mentions Tina Turner##Q##s change of direction to rock/soul that catapulted her career even further.
