It’s a heartbreaking day for “Twilight” fans everywhere. As our PopStop TV News team previously reported, a 53-year-old “Twilight” fan, Gisela Gagliardi, was struck by a car Tuesday morning and died later that day. She was waiting in line for Thursday’s panel at Comic-Con, held in San Diego.
After hearing the sad news, “Twilight” stars are taking to Twitter to send their condolences. Ashley Green wrote, “I’m so sorry to hear the devastating news about Gisela G. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.”
Nikki Reed wrote, “This is horrible. So sad. I’m speechless.”
Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the successful franchise, released the following statement: “Lionsgate, Summit and the entire ‘Twilight’ community are saddened by the death of a Comic-Confan today due to a traffic accident during the hours leading up to this year’s convention in San Diego. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the victim’s family and friends. She will be respectfully remembered this Thursday in Hall H.”
