Remember the band Puddle of Mudd? Well, the lead singer Wes Scantlin has been given a chance to finally clean up his act! The band’s frontman has pleaded guilty to his felony cocaine possession charge steaming from this Tuesday. Scantlin has been lucky enough to avoid jail time, and has been freed of his two misdemeanors according to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office. The misdemeanors were for driving under the influence of a controlled substance, and driving without a license. So what is the rocker’s punishment for all of this you ask? 18 month’s deferred judgment, including a drug counseling program.
The District Attorney’s office is also saying that if Wes finishes the program with good behavior the possession charge could possibly be dropped. So, with this being said, I ask you, is the rocker getting off easy because of his celebrity status? Or do you think this is fair? Leave me a comment, and let me know what you think!
