Amber Portwood lucked out of being nailed with a five-year jail sentence in January because of a December drug arrest, but she might have just cost herself half a decade in the slammer.
In December, TMZ reported that the MTV’s Teen Mom star was arrested for possession of drugs and failing to provide a required urine sample for her probation, and then in January, she struck a plea deal with an Indiana judge that included dropping a five-year jail sentence in exchange for a strict probation.
Amber is said to be doing great, but in the law’s eye, one slip-up is all it takes to screw you over. Sources tell TMZ that she failed to provide a urine sample during a routine drug test while serving time in a home detention on March 5th because she couldn’t make it at the time, and according to probation, the missed test is considered a failed one.
Portwood will face the judge today for a weekly check-in and will have to answer to her missed drug test. The judge has the power to do as he pleases.
