Who’s ready for a mini Spice Girls reunion? Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) and Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) are expected to reunite and perform at the London 2012 Olympics!
The Spice Girls will be performing during the closing ceremony on August 12, joining other artists such as George Michael, The Who, Take That and Jessie J. One of the two songs The Spice Girls are reported to sing is “Wannabe.”
Beckham confirmed the Olympics performance, “I don’t know about a comeback tour, but I loved being back with the girls…we are very excited about the Olympics.” The last time the Spice Girls reunited was back in 2008 for the launch of their musical, “Viva Forever.” The musical is about a talent competition and how a “Wannabe” star Viva and her family are affected by the process. “Viva Forever” will open at the Piccadilly Theatre in London on November 27.
