Ever since news broke about Kristen Stewart cheating on Robert Pattinson, Pattinson has remained quiet about the subject. However, last night he made his first TV appearance since the break-up and sort of acknowledged his situation.
Robert, who is promoting his new movie Cosmopolis, appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Stewart got right to the point by whipping out some Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and said, “We’re just a couple of gals talking. Tell me everything.” The actor replied, “My biggest problem in my life is I’m cheap, and I didn’t hire a publicist. Normally actors get everything scripted [for interviews]. I’m going to hire a publicist.”
Stewart agreed about the publicist and even suggested Robert get a time machine! He then added, “The last time I had a breakup, Ben & Jerry got me through some of the tougher times, so I thought you and I could bond over this, and talk about,’ Boy, you are better off kicking her to the curb.’” While Jon was joking around the whole time, he did send his well wishes to Pattinson, “My wish for you is that you get to handle your business and personal life in private. I wish you all the best.”
Even though Robert didn’t directly comment about the scandal, he didn’t deny it either. Girls, take note that Ben & Jerry’s ice cream isn’t just used by us during tough times…Robert Pattinson and Jon Stewart use it for comfort too!
