Throughout the Olympics there have been various montages on TV accompanied by heartfelt songs. “Home” by Phillip Phillips, American Idol Season 11 winner, is one of these songs and has newfound success.
Thanks to NBC playing the song during its coverage of women’s gymnastics, the song has been selling fast on iTunes. It has received a second chance. When the song first came out in May, it has huge sales, but quickly plummeted in a few weeks. After airing on TV Sunday night, the track climbed the charts to No. 1 on the all-genre iTunes chart.
