All hail the power of the golden popcorn!
The 21st annual MTV Movie Awards 2012 took place at the Gibson Amphitheater Sunday night and Russell Brand kicked off the show with F-Bombs and self-deprecating celeb jokes. While he made fun of himself for his quickie marriage to Katy Perry, he also gave a shout out to Kim Kardashian and Charlie Sheen.
The first award of the night went to Jennifer Aniston for her best Dirtbag performance in “Horrible Bosses”! She thanked her former show “Friends” for allowing her to unleash her inner sweetheart and Seth Gordon for letting out her dirtbag side.
While Mila and Mark were presenting the award to Jennifer, a few guys from the crowd randomly heckled at Mila. Mark dropped an F-bomb and hey, it’s live TV!
Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson took home the Best Kiss Kiss for the 4th consecutive year. Things got adorably awkward when K-Stew couldn’t find a makeout buddy so she decided to make out with herself. Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson snagged Best Female and Male performances for “The Hunger Games”!
Best Cast award went to Emma Watson and her Harry Potter castmates!!! Our eyes lit up like Christmas when Joe Manganiello came on stage in a fireman’s outfit, joining his Magic Mike co-stars! The guys dubbed Elizabeth Banks as “Best Transformation” and carried her off stage. Lucky girl!
Emma Stone gave one of the best acceptance speech ever when she was honored with the first “MTV Trailblazer Award”. The “Amazing Spiderman” babe teared up on speech and said, “What sets you apart can feel like a burden and it’s not. A lot of the time it is what makes you great.”
Christian Bale also shed a tear on stage when he saw Heath Ledger in some Dark Knight footage on screen.
The biggest award of the night went to “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1” for best movie!
