America got a wake up call last night on American Idol when the voting results showed an unexpected surprise…
The lucky seven left on Idol sang songs on Wednesday night that were released from 2010 until now.
Ryan Seacrest got our minds questioning how things would turn out for the top six when he Tweeted before the live show Thursday night, “There is a result tonight on @AmericanIdol that some would say is very shocking!”
And shocking it was! Soulful singers Jessica Sanchez, Elise Testone and Joshua Ledet were in the bottom, giving Skylar Laine, Hollie Cavanagh, Colton Dixon and Phillip Phillips another week.
It came as a shock to everyone that Jessica got the least amount of votes, leading to her having to sing for the judges to use their only save. She didn’t even make it through half of the song before JLo and the guys walked onto the stage and snatched the mic out of her hands to tell her they were keeping her in the competition.
Good thing they didn’t waste their only redemption card on DeAndre Brackensick last week!
