Another day, another country’s officials are angry at Lady Gaga. Thailand’s Culture Ministry recently slammed the mother monster for misusing the Thailand flag in Bangkok on May 25.
The 26-year-old “You and I” singer was spotted tying the Thai flag to a motorcycle and riding it across the stage while wearing the usual Gaga costume. An anonymous official told Associated Press that Gaga’s behavior was “not appropriate and hurt the feelings of the Thai people.”

The country’s culture ministry has filed an official police complaint over the misuse of the Thai flag. According to Somchai Seanglai culture ministry permanent secretary, his department sent Thai police a summary of all public complaints received about Gaga’s performance on stage. Although the ministry does not intent to seek legal action against Gaga at this time, the formal complaint is meant to demonstrate the fans’ dissatisfaction.
Lady Gaga’s trouble in Thailand seems to have been brewing for a while. As soon as Gaga arrived in the country, she sent a controversial tweet about her desire to buy a fake Rolex watch at one of Thailand’s street markets. Many of her twitter fans considered this comment derogatory towards Thai people.
