It’s not easy being a pop star! Katy Perry got real on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter and revealed she battled depression following the divorce.
She told the mag, “There were times when what was going on in my personal life was so overwhelming, that I had to bend over to let those tears fall straight out of my eyes just as I’m about to go up and sing ‘Teenage Dream’. I had to smack myself across the face and say, ‘These problems are my problems, they are not my audience’s problems.”
The 27-year-old pop star said it was a difficult decision to film the crumbling relationship, going against Russell’s request, but honesty always pays off!
Katy has broken Michael Jackson’s chart record for having the most #1 singles from the same album… and she earns about $44 million a year!
