It##Q##s not easy promoting a film, especially when a huge part of the movie features the break down of your marriage! Katy Perry has been doing a decent job dodging the bullet but now, she##Q##s finally opening up about why her marriage didn##Q##t work out.
Katy claimed that her divorce from Russell Brand was mainly due to the fact that he didn##Q##t put in time to visit her when they had time off from their hectic schedules. In her new flick “Katy Perry: Part of Me” 3D, we got a glimpse of the tired Katy almost wishing the time away until she got a few days off – “relationship days” – she called them. The film shows Katy flying across the world and back to see Russell in the few days she has off from her world tour.
Juggling a relationship and the ultimate career renaissance is hard work! In a new interview with The Sun, Katy was asked if Russell not coming over to see her was the reason for the split.
“Yes,” she replied. “If I could edit it any way I would, but that is exactly the way it was. I always had plans to make this record and usually with a record, you tour a record. Touring is always important to me. It##Q##s like a big IOU to my fans, because I know they are the reason I exist.”
The “Wide Awake” singer said she had no choice but to adress the awkward elephant in the room. “I am not hiding anything, but I had to put i with integrity and consideration because that##Q##s how I make all my choices, because I believe in karma.”
The couple also fought over having a baby throughout their 14-months marriage. Russell is ready to start one, but Katy answered “A baby can##Q##t have a baby – and I##Q##m still a baby.”
