Oh boy, the legal troubles just don’t seem to end for Justin Bieber! First, the reckless speeding, and now, he’s being sued for allegedly destroying a woman’s ears!
As our PopStopTV team reported earlier, Oregon woman, Stacey Wilson Betts, claims she was hit with a “sound blast” at one of his concerts and now has permanent ear damage. She took her daughter to see his show in Portland, Oregon on July 14, 2010.
Betts blames Justin Bieber’s shrieking fans for creating the incredibly loud noise. The mother says Bieber “created a wave like effect of screaming by pointing into various sections of the arena. Then enticed the crowd into a frenzy of screams by continuously waving his arms in a quick and upward motion.”
The mother now suffers from tinnitus and is suing Justin Bieber, his record label, the concert promoter and the arena. She is demanding a whopping $9.23 for the damages!
Twitter fans reacted to this news:
“lol if I was her daughter I##Q##d jump of a bridge.” Harsh!
“Is this Mom foreal? Suing Justin for 9 million dollars because the music was to loud? Get real, the louder the better!”
“What? I cant hear you. I went to a Justin Bieber concert.”
“Latest Justin Bieber lawsuit is absurd. If everyone sued over music that was painful to listen to, Rebecca Black would be in court for life.”
Justin Bieber cannot be reached for comment. Maybe parents should wear earplugs to concerts with shrieking teens!
