Last night during a special episode of San Diego ‘American Idol’ auditions on FOX, the judges were surprised to see Jim Carrey’s daughter, Jane, show up to sing for a chance to become the next ‘American Idol.’
“The last name definitely helps and hurts,” Carrey said during a short interview that was shown before she faced the judges.
Carrey, 24, chose to sing “Something to Talk About” by Bonnie Raitt for her audition.
Well-known ‘Idol’ judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson gave Carrey some constructive criticism before giving her what she ultimately wanted: a golden ticket to Hollywood!
