Is there anything Jennifer Lopez hasn’t done? She has done singing, acting, dancing, producing, judging…and now developing a show about lesbians. Sounds intriguing! JLo is partnering up with ABC Family to create an hour-long drama for the network.
The show is currently untitled, but is said to center around a lesbian couple with their three kids, one biological son and adopted teen twins. One mother is a cop and the other is a private school teacher. They struggle with dilemmas that all parents come across, as well as dealing with a delinquent teenaged girl who comes to live with them.
The show has potential to thrive if ABC Family picks it up. Many ABC Family shows are female-centric dramas, such as Pretty Little Liars, Switched at Birth, and The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and cater to a young female demographic.
Jennifer Lopez will be an executive producer of the show and also said to be making a few guest appearances. This isn’t the first time Lopez has been executive producer. She has also been an executive producer for MTV’s Dancelife and Univision’s Q’Viva: The Chosen.
We think it’s great that ABC Family has a diverse selection of shows! Will YOU watch Jennifer Lopez’s new show when it airs? Sound off below!
