Gwyneth Paltrow is probably the last person we’d think of for making inflammatory statements but the actress is getting some heat over a tweet she posted Friday while watching Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “Watch the Throne” concert in Paris.
Gwyneth tweeted, “Ni**as in paris for real @mrteriusnash (the dream) tyty, beehigh http://say.ly/ySc3rTP”, along with a pic from behind the stage. The photo is snapped while the 39-year-old actress was on stage with Jay-Z and Yeezy.
Twitterverse went crazy with accusation of Gwyneth being racist. In response to the backlash over using the word, Gwenyth tweeted on Sunday: “Hold up. It’s the title of the song!”
When that didn’t calm anyone down, The Dream, responsible for taking the pic, came to her defense.
The Dream wrote: “FYI, sorry for the confusion. I typed ##Q##N—– in Paris for real##Q## from Gwen##Q##s phone, my bad. Please excuse it! We were lit.”
Now the drama is getting even more confusing and blown out of proportion. One angry fan accused the producer of rushing in to “save that white princess.”
