Greta Gerwig is certainly a top actress to keep your eyes on this year. The 28-year-old has been on the rise since debuting in “Damsels In Distress” earlier this year, and if starring in a Woody Allen film means anything, her career is about to take off.
The “Lola Versus” starlet quietly snuck into the industry through indie films like “Baghead”, “Nights and Weekends”, and “Hannah Takes the Stars”. After getting a call to play “Sally” in a Woody Allen film, Greta couldn’t have been more in awe!

“The film is really funny, it’s hilarious. It’s totally like a classic, funny Woody Allen movie,” Greta told me exclusively at the premiere of “Damsels In Distress”. “The cast is incredible, like Alec Baldwin, Jesse Eisenberg, Ellen Page, and Penelope Cruz.”
Greta plays Sally in the film that will be told in four vignette. Greta’s on-screen boyfriend – Jack – is played by Jesse Eisenberg, and Ellen Page plays her best friend Monica.
“I did look around at one point and realized I was the only person who was not nominated for an Oscar!” Greta gushed. “I was hoping this is a sign of things to come.”
As far as what we can expect from the film?
“I think what you can look forward to is Ellen trying to steal my man!” Greta teased.
“To Love With Rome” opens in theaters nationwide on June 22, 2012!
