The world got to know the beautiful New York native from “American Idol,” and she has been working nonstop on her singing career since then.
“I’m just finishing up my album,” said Pia. “We’re down to choosing the final song, so yeah, it’s a really cool moment for me.”
Her team has yet to announce a release date, but Pia tells us that it will definitely be out soon.
Season 11 of “American Idol” is well underway and since she has been there before, Pia shared with us some helpful advice that she would tell the current contestants.
“You just need to go up there and not let your nerves get to you,” she said. “Just go out there with confidence and live in the moment.”
The 23-year-old also spilled to us that she would like to work with Bruno Mars, Ne-Yo or Jay-Z in the future and was rooting for Adele at the Grammy’s!
The shocking news about the death of Whitney Houston had a strong impact on Pia.
“I am such a huge Whitney Houston fan and I’m devastated by her loss,” said Pia. “She is the reason why I sang. My first song that I ever sang at four years old was ‘I Will Always Love You’ and I’ve been so inspired by her from day one.”
