Cynthia Nixon and girlfriend Christine Marinoni finally tied the knot after being engaged for three years!
The proposal went down at a rally to support gay marriage in New York. Now that same-sex marriage is legal in the state of New York, the wedding took place in the Big Apple on Sunday, Cynthia Nixon’s rep tells People.
“On May 27, 2012, Cynthia Nixon and her girlfriend, Christine Marinoni, were legally married in the state of New York,” her rep said in a statement. “Nixon wore a custom dress by Carolina Herrera.”
The newlyweds have one child together, Max Ellington Nixon-Marinoni, who Marinoni, 45, gave birth to in February 2011.
Nixon, the 46-year-old Sex and the City star, was previously in a long-term relationship with photographer Danny Mozes. They have two children together.
