Lady Gaga has been quite defensive on twitter every since South African rap duo Die Antwoord spoofed her in their “Fatty Boom Boom” music video. The mother monster has since cooled down from the fight, only to be embroiled in another one with DJ Calvin Harris.
It all started when the Scottish DJ got a little too open in a BBC interview. When asked why he turned down working with Gaga, Calvin Harris responded, “I was busy, though. You’ve got to pick people whose songs or voice that you like, and at that stage, it was before she was very, very big.”
“They sent me some songs and I didn’t really like the songs, and that’s okay,” Calvin continued. “They didn’t send me the big songs. It was, ‘Will you work on these album tracks, pleas?’”
The mother monster did not take that lightly! She tweeted, “never even emailed you @CalvinHarris I guess it’s hard to believe I write + produce my music. Cuz I’m a woman I don’t know about EDM right?”
Calvin responded, “The illuminati’s after me lol. Never mind I’ll just keep making tracks”, adding, “Jeez you turn down one remix in 2008 and next thing the whole world’s on your back.”
Calvin then extended out a hand by tweeting Gaga, “no your label emailed me. I always make sure I say Im a fan when asked about it, I apologise if I offended u, wasn’t the intention”
Gaga responded, “@CalvinHarris thanks for the apology &explaining. My apologies too. Congratulations on your album. Wish you well. Cheers.”
It looks like Gaga and Calvin worked out the miscommunication.
