Justin Bieber’s sitting on top of the world right now but as the old cliché holds true – the top can be pretty lonely. The 18-year-old pop star recently made a shocking revelation to UK’s Fabulous magazine that he almost quit music after false paternity claims last year.
When Mariah Yeater accused the pop sensation of fathering her child after a backstage encounter in 2011, Justin admitted the scandal took him by storm. “At the beginning of it all I was in Florida, away from my friends and family and I was pretty sad,” Justin said. “I got to the point where I thought, ‘I don’t want to do this. I just want to be normal.’ It was difficult because I’d never gone through anything like that.”
The “Boyfriend” singer, however, did seek advice from mentor Usher, who told him to toughen up. Justin now holds no grudge towards Mariah, adding: “I feel sorry for her more than anything. Everything that hurts you makes you stronger in the end. You’ve got to learn from the bad things that happen.”

Justin claims the paternity suit have fueled his creativity. In April, the “Never Say Never” star revealed he had writing a song called “Maria” for his new album “Believe”, which will hit stores on June 18.
“Maria” is pretty catchy and the hook, “She ain’t my baby, she ain’t my girl” reminds me of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean”!

It’s good to see that Justin didn’t let one false claim get in the way of his career!
