Avril Lavigne##Q##s ex, Sum 41 rocker, Deryck Whibley, partied this weekend dressed as the famous singer, sporting her signature look: hoodie, dramatic eyeliner, a blonde wig complete with pink and green highlights.
Whibley’s girlfriend, Ari Cooper, channeled an outdated Nickelback frontman, Chad Kroeger—Lavigne’s current fiancé—with a wavy blonde shoulder length wig, black Jack Daniel’s tee and tacky goatee.
You have to admit, these get-ups are spot on, but it’s unclear if the gag was an intentional jab at the newly engaged Canadian singers.
Avril Lavigne and Whibley remain close friends since their split in 2009, often collaborating on different projects. But Lavigne has yet to respond to the hilarious pic.
In fact, Kroeger got the last laugh via Twitter: “Hey Deryck loved the costumes! we were going to dress up as you guys this year but all the parties had celebrity themes haha! –CK”
He later added, “You owe us a couples bowling grudge match see you when I get back from Russia! –CK”
Do you think the joke was all in fun, or the beginning of a feisty feud between Whibley and Avril Lavigne? Something about Deryck’s face tells me it’s the latter.
